Erik Thorell

Erik Thorell (* 3 March 1992 in Karlstad ) is a Swedish professional ice hockey player who is under contract with Rögle BK HockeyAllsvenskan since 2013. His brothers Gustaf and Oskar are also professional hockey players.

Career

Erik Thorell began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of Färjestad BK, for the first team, he made ​​his debut in the Elitserien, the highest Swedish league was in season 2009/10. In the following season the winger won the Swedish championship title with the team. From 2009 to 2011, he was also active as Players out on loan for the Skåre BK from the third-tier Division 1 and in the 2010/11 season for IF Sundsvall Hockey from the second-rate HockeyAllsvenskan.

2013 he moved to Rögle BK in the HockeyAllsvenskan.

Internationally

For Sweden Thorell took part in the U18 World Youth Championship 2010 and the Under-20 World Youth Championship in 2012. At the 2010 U18 World Championships, he won the silver medal with his team.
