Eschershausen (Samtgemeinde)

The Samtgemeinde Eschershausen was an integrated municipality in the northern part of the wood Minden in Lower Saxony, based in Eschershausen. On January 1, 2011, the velvet municipality merged with the city Samtgemeinde Oldendorf for new Samtgemeinde Eschershausen City Oldendorf.

Geography

The middle mountain ranges Elfas, Vogler, Ith and Hils surrounded Eschershausen, which is thus in the midst of the Weser mountain country.

Samtgemeinde outline

The Samtgemeinde Eschershausen consists of the five municipalities Dielmissen, Eimen, Lumber, Lüerdissen and Eschershausen. A total of 6,727 residents live in the integrated municipality, of which 3,662 in the city Eschershausen (as of June 2007).

History

In December 1996, 7,612 residents lived in the integrated municipality.

The Samtgemeinde Eschershausen decreed 2001 on 7.06 million DM in the administrative budget, and 562,000 DM in the capital budget.

On 12 October 2009 the Municipality Councils of Samtgemeinde Eschershausen and Samtgemeinde city Oldendorf in Eschershausen agreed the merger on the new Samtgemeinde Eschershausen City Oldendorf, which took place on 1 January 2011.

In Eschershausen is a primary school and the "Wilhelm- Raabe - school center Eschershausen " ', an elementary and secondary school to supply the city and the Samtgemeinde Eschershausen.
