Estanislao Fernandez

Estanislao A. Fernandez ( born March 28, 1910 in Liliw, Laguna, † 28 July 1982) was a Filipino judges and politicians.

Biography

After school he studied law and joined the criminal law specialist in 1933 as fourth in his class from. He then worked as a lawyer, where he also represented criminal cases before the courts of the United States. He was, emerged also a member of the Upsilon Sigma Phi fraternity North America, Inc. of the many leading politicians in the Philippines.

As a candidate of the Liberal Party, he was elected deputy in 1949 in the House of Representatives and represented there until 1953, the second election district of the province of Laguna, which also included a new destination Pagsanjan.

In the elections of 10 November 1959 he was elected as the first " Pagsanjeño " as a member of the Senate. During his last until 1965, the time he was last 1962-1965 Minority Leader ( Minority Floor Leader) and thus Leader of the Opposition in the Senate.

He was also a member of the 1971 Constitutional Convention. After his retirement, he was appointed assessor judges to the Supreme Court in 1973 and was one of this until his admission to retire in 1975.
