Eurasburg

Eurasburg is a municipality in the Upper Bavarian district of Bad Tölz- Wolfratshausen. Its territory lies between the River Isar and lake Starnberger, it extends over the Loisachtal with their adjacent on either side elevations.

Facts and Figures

Since the local government reform of 1978, the congregation of 52 districts is in an area of 40.9 km ². The two largest sites are Eurasburg and Beuerberg.

History

The location near the Lake Starnberg probably prompted the first iRinger to build the old Iringsburg in Loisachtal. The Hofmark the iRinger - which gave the name of the community - submitted by Mr. Hausen to Lake Starnberg and Wolfratshausen unto the border of the monastery Benediktbeuren.

Albert of Iringsburg was occupied as a follower of Emperor Henry IV by Pope Gregory with excommunication. As a punishment for her husband and father Berta founded by Iringsburg and their sons Otto and Eberhard in 1121 the Augustinian monastery pin Beuerberg, the present monastery of the Salesian Sisters. The monastery was responsible for the religious institutions around the Hofmark.

The " lights Berger " Duke Albrecht VI. 1626 was torn down the old Iringsburg. The present castle was built in the late Renaissance style on the table mountain above the city. Who drew up the plans of the castle, is unclear; the repeatedly mentioned in the literature Peter Candid is not detected in Eurasburg. In the course of administrative reform in the Kingdom of Bavaria was born with the congregation of 1818, the current community. The castle fell in 1976 with its precious interior destroyed by fire. In the rebuilt are exclusively condominiums today.

Incorporations

On 1 May 1978, the formerly independent communities Beuerberg and Mr. Hausen and parts of the territory of the dissolved municipality Degerndorf were incorporated.

Miscellaneous

The known Lausbubengeschichten by Franz Seitz by Ludwig Thoma were in Beuerburg and Eurasburg, and turned the surrounding area.

It was also on the farmstead " Sprengenöd " between the towns Eurasburg and Beuerberg 1993 by Dagmar Wagner of the documentary " The egg is a Shitty God's gift " on the Geisberger family was filmed.
