European Commissioner for Energy
The Commissioner for Energy is a member of the European Commission. The resort has existed since the merger of the Commissions of the European Economic Community with those of Euratom and ECSC 1967; previously were the last two communities, who were responsible for areas of energy policy, have been independent.
Current incumbent is Günther Oettinger. The Commissioner for energy is energy associated with the DG.
