The European Route 22 ( shortcut: E 22) is a European route, extending in an easterly direction West - particularly through Northern and Eastern Europe. It starts in Holyhead in Wales and ends in Ishim in Russia, making it one of the longest European routes. Many European routes were extended beyond 2000 to Asia. For the E 22 this happened on 24 June 2002.
