FC Shirak

The FC Shirak Gyumri (Armenian Ֆուտբոլային ակումբ Շիրակ Գյումրի, Shirak Gyumri Futbolajin Akumb ) is an Armenian football club from the city of Gyumri in the Shirak Province, currently playing in the Bardsragujn chumb.

Club history

The club was founded in 1958 as FC Shirak Leninakan, because as the city of Gyumri was then called. From 1970 to 1981 he was called FC Olympia Leninakan, but then got back its old name. Since Armenia's independence from the Soviet Union, the city is called again Gyumri and the club has also been renamed.

The club won among others 1992, 1994, 1999 and 2013, the Armenian football championship. The current Interim Minister Andranik was Adamjan 1990-2005 Trainer - a record in Armenian football.
