The Federal Ministry of Transport and digital infrastructure ( BMVI ) is a Supreme Authority of the Federal Republic of Germany. It has its first service based in Berlin, his second - human resources more occupied official seat - in Bonn.

History

The Federal Ministry of Transport was established in 1949, and was 1949-1960, then a resident of the building of the Chamber of Agriculture Rheinland to 1974 in the savings bank building at the Peace Square, from 1951 Godesberg on the bathroom Viktorshöhe. By merger of the Federal Ministry of Transport and the Federal Ministry for Regional Planning, Building and Urban Development, the Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Housing ( BMVBW ) was established in 1998, which was renamed in 2005 in the Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development ( BMVBS). With the appointment of the Cabinet Merkel III, the Ministry was renamed on 17 December 2013 the Federal Ministry of Transport and digital infrastructure ( BMVI ).
