Federation of South Arabia

The South Arabian Federation (Arabic اتحاد الجنوب العربي, DMG Ittihad al - ʿ Arabiyya Ǧanūb al - ) existed 1962-1967 as an organization of states under British protection. For her, the People Democratic Republic of Yemen has evolved.

Development

It was formed on April 4, 1962 from the 15 States of the Federation protectorate of Arab Emirates of the South and united on 18 January 1963, the British colony of Aden.
