Marc, however, can not see the players and keeps the others present increasingly crazy.

After a brief scuffle between Ray and Marc Karin crashes accidentally from the stands and is aware and motionless and without breathing on the ground. Archie Graham is facing the difficult decision to stay or to help the child baseball player. He takes the side line and the "old" Doc Graham appears. He frees Karin by swallowing a hot dog bits and saves her life. But now he can not go back. The players finish the game and take Doc Graham with in the field. " Shoeless Joe" invites Terence Mann to accompany him. After a brief exchange of words with Ray, who can not understand why Terence and he is not invited, Terence disappears and laughing like a little boy rejoicing in the corn field.

" Shoeless Joe Jackson " now says to Ray, "If you build it, he will come" and suddenly sees Ray a baseball player who has just moves itself. Ray recognizes him as John Kinsella - his father, with whom he had a very bad relationship. But as young as he appears here on the field, Ray did not know him. John congratulates Ray to the great game and thanks to him that he can play there. They play together a game of baseball.

  • Heyne Film Year Book 1990: An excellent, quote rich comedy with a social touch.
