Filipe Luís Kasmirski ( born August 9, 1985 in Jaragua do Sul, Brazil) is a Brazilian football player of Polish descent who currently plays for Spanish side Atlético Madrid.

Origin

Kasmirski is a descendant of Polish immigrants, but does not have Polish citizenship. He possesses both the Italian and Brazilian citizenship.

Career

In the season 2004/2005 the then 18 -year-old defender joined on a free transfer his youth club Figueirense in Brazil to Holland Ajax Amsterdam.

At the Junior World Cup in 2005 with the Brazilian team, he reached the third place behind Argentina and Nigeria.

For the 2005/2006 season he moved from Ajax to Real Madrid's amateur team, which is also known as "Castilla", and signed a contract until 2007. During this season he played 32 times for "Castilla".

On 28 August 2006, the Spanish first division side Deportivo La Coruna the 21 -year-old Filipe Luís Kasmirski lent out for the season 2006/2007.

In summer 2010, Filipe moved to Atlético Madrid.
