As a replacement for Sidney James Phil Silvers was engaged, with which one hoped for even greater opportunities in the U.S. market on the part of producers. It was also omitted for the second and last time on the addition Carry on the international film titles. So the film is called there only Follow That Camel.

Problems you had with another " guest star ": the camel, which is seen in the film, had never seen a desert and could not walk on loose sand, so you had to use a firm surface. The desert was no real, but only a sort of big sand box. In addition, the camel Jim Dale bite in the leg.
