Frank Brogan

Timothy Frank Brogan ( born September 6, 1953 in Cincinnati, Ohio) is an American politician. Between 1999 and 2003 he was Deputy Governor of the State of Florida.

Career

Frank Brogan graduated from the University of Cincinnati and then to 1981 at Florida Atlantic University. He suggested a still lasting career in education. As early as 1978 he taught as a teacher in Martin County, Florida. Later he transferred to the school administration, where he was principal and school board. In the meantime, he was also politically active as a member of the Republican Party. In 1994 he as Commissioner of Education Ministers of Education of Florida was. In 1998, Brogan was elected to the side of Jeb Bush as vice governor of his state. This post he held between 1999 and 2003. Yet he was assistant to the governor. Also known as Lieutenant Governor, he was involved in educational activities of the State Government. Bush and Brogan were re-elected in 2002.

In 2003, Frank Brogan resigned from the office of Lieutenant Governor to continue his career in education. Between 2003 and 2009 he was president of Florida Atlantic University. Then he was up to 2013 Dean of the State University System of Florida, comprising twelve public universities. 2013 he left Florida and went to Pennsylvania, where he became Chancellor of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education.
