The Martin County is a county located in the state of Florida in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Stuart.

History

The Martin County was formed on 30 May 1925 parts of Palm Beach County. It was named for John W. Martin, Governor of Florida from 1925 until 1929.

Geography

The county has an area of ​​1,950 square kilometers, of which 511 square kilometers are water surface. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Palm Beach County, Okeechobee County and St. Lucie County.
