Dixie County, Florida

The Dixie County is a county located in the state of Florida in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Cross City.

History

The Dixie County was formed on April 25, 1921 from parts of Lafayette County. The name was derived from the nickname of the American South.

Geography

The county has an area of ​​2,237 square kilometers, of which 413 square kilometers are water surface. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Taylor County, Lafayette County, Gilchrist County and Levy County.
