DeSoto County (Florida)

The DeSoto County is a county located in the state of Florida in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Arcadia.

History

The De Soto County was formed on 19 May 1887 parts of Manatee County. It was named after a Spanish explorer Hernando de Soto. By 1921 it was one of the largest counties in Florida.

Geography
