Fraser Patrick

Fraser Patrick ( born November 8, 1985 in Glasgow ) is a Scottish snooker player.

Career

Patrick took from 2002 to 2005 in the tournaments of the Challenge Tour - a qualification tournament series for Snooker main tour - part. Great Attention success came from here, only a second round he could reach. In the follow- tournament series, the Pontin's International Open Series 2005 / 06, he was able to obtain better results. 2007 Patrick was then nominated by the Scottish Association and was allowed to start in his first main tour season. Only in the Grand Prix 2007 he scored four wins in the group stage ( against Lee Walker, Paul Davies, Liu Chuang and Ian Preece ). In all other tournaments he already retired on the first round ( against Leo Fernandez, Barry Hawkins, Liang Wenbo, Mark Joyce and three times against Matthew Selt ). Thus he could not secure his whereabouts on the main tour.

With the introduction of Q School 2011 Patrick tried to recover his professional status. Both in 2012 he could once play for the finals of his group in 2011 as then had to admit defeat but Adam Wicheard and Michael Wasley. Nevertheless, he was able to participate due to its good results in all tournaments of the snooker season 2012/13 as an amateur. He achieved his best result at the German Masters 2013: With victories over Michael White and Martin Gould, he was able to qualify for the main round in Berlin. There he led already 3-1 against Ali Carter in the Round of 32, but had to admit defeat but still with 3:5. Even with the qualification for World Snooker Championship 2013, he scored with the 10:6 against Luca Brecel another decent result. Finally, he was able to prevail in the third Q -school starting in the third and final tournament in 2013 in the final against Ashley Cartey and qualified so again for the main tour.

This time all Neuprofis received a two- year tour ticket. The snooker season 2013/14 started with little success for Patrick. Only two of 14 tournaments, which were held in 2013, he was able to play in the round of last 64. There he failed to John Astley and Jack Lisowski.
