French Guiana national football team

The football team's selection of French Guiana is the national team of the French overseas departments of French Guiana. It is organized by the Association Ligue de Football de Guyane, a sub- department of the French Football Federation.

French Guiana is because it is an integral part of France, a member of the world football governing body FIFA and therefore does not participate in qualifying matches to soccer world championships.

As a member of the regional association CONCACAF but you can participate in the qualifiers to the CONCACAF Gold Cup. In addition, the national team in the Coupe de l' Outre- Mer, the competition for national teams from France's overseas territories involved. It could be French Guiana place in 2008 to 4th.

The most famous footballers in the country is probably the French international Florent Malouda, who plays for Chelsea in England. Even Jean -Claude Darcheville has its roots in French Guiana.
