Frigg Oslo FK

The Frigg Oslo Fotballklubb is a Norwegian sports club from Oslo who owns football, futsal and Bandyabteilungen. The football team of the club won several times the National Cup and played several years in the highest Norwegian league.

Football

Cup successes and a founding member of the Championship

The club was founded on May 17, 1904 the name SK Frigg. Initially, the club approached only played friendly matches, before he organized in 1908 in Oslo Association. Four years later, the team played in the highest league, before the club in 1914 took his first title. In the National Cup, the club decided the final match against SK Gjøvik -Lyn with a 4-2 success for themselves. In the following years, SK Frigg was unable to repeat the successes of the first year. Both in the regional championship and the national cup missed the team to establish itself in the front area. Only in the course of the 1930s, the club returned to winning ways. Especially in the cup he entered the decisive rounds, but remained without a title.

As Norges Fotballforbund 1937 established a nationwide Championship, SK Frigg was among the 74 first division, which is divided into eight districts played for the national championship. Between the first and second league

In the lower league field

The Bandyabteilung Frigg was crucial hockey and later participated in the organization of sport in Norway in standalone Bandyverband.
