1965 Norwegian First Division

The first Divisjon 1965 was the 21st season of Norway's highest football league and the third season under the name 1 Divisjon. The season began on April 23, 1965 and ended on 10 October 1965.

Mode

The 10 teams played in a single round with round-trip game against each other so that each team completed 18 games. Master was the Leading after the last matchday. The last two teams had to dismount.

Season

Vålerengen IF was first Norwegian champion.

At the beginning of the season of the year's champion was in the lead. By the tenth matchday guidance between Lyn and Vålerengen moved back and forth. After that remained Vålerengen until the end of the season ahead. However, they were never more than four points ahead.

The two climbers BK Odds and Steinkjær I & FK were able to keep in the league.
