1966 Norwegian First Division

The first Divisjon 1966 was the 22nd season of Norway's highest football league and the fourth season under the name 1 Divisjon. The season began on April 22, 1966 and ended on 23 October 1966.

Mode

The 10 teams played in a single round with round-trip game against each other so that each team completed 18 games. Master was the Leading after the last matchday. The last two teams had to dismount.

Season

Skeid was first Norwegian champion.

The season was until the end of the first round very balanced. After the ninth matchday first five teams were separated by just two points. Only in the course of the season to Skeid was able to establish a lead of up to four points. This playful but they again, and so they went with just one point lead in the last game. By a 1-0 victory they finally reached the championship.
