1975 Norwegian First Division

The first Divisjon 1975 was the 31st season of the highest Norwegian Football League and the 13th season under the name 1 Divisjon. The season began on April 27, 1975 and ended on 19 October 1975.

Mode

The twelve teams played in a single round with round-trip game against each other so that each team completed 22 games. Master was the Leading after the last matchday. The last three teams had to dismount.

Season

Viking Stavanger became the fourth consecutive Norwegian champion. It was the fifth overall title for this team.

The season was again balanced. No team was able to settle properly. Only Viking had a time three -point lead. Otherwise, it remained at more than two points. Through a draw at immediate rivals Rosenborg BK in the penultimate round, Viking secured as well as the title, as they then had two points and ten goals ahead. To there were the two UEFA Cup places an exciting race, which ended with a decision on the final day: the defeat of Rosenborg at Brann Bergen and the simultaneous victory of IK Start slipped Rosenborg still on both teams over to fourth place and missed so the qualification for European competition. Between the second and four, the difference here was only one goal.

Of the climbers Fredrikstad FK, Lillestrøm SK and Os Os TF TF only had to descend again.
