Garching-Hochbrück

The underground station Garching- Hochbrueck the Munich subway was opened on 28 October 1995. The aboveground station opens up the district Hochbrueck of Garching near Munich, and the local industrial area. Garching- high bridge is one of the few stations in the Munich subway system with side platforms. The roof is made in each case a steel structure that is serrated on the platforms. The platform is paved because of the weather conditions at the surface with cobblestones. At both ends of the platform lead pedestrian bridges over the tracks. On the west side of the station there is a bus station. Eleven years of the railway station was the terminus of the U6. To the north of the city to get to town or to the Garching research institutes, wrong buses. Since 2006, the underground is more about Garching to Garching - Forschungszentrum. Between Froettmaning and Garching- high bridge is 4208 meters with the largest distance between two stations. In Garching, the route disappears right after the railway station in the tunnel.
