George Gulack

George Julius Gulack ( born May 12, 1905 in Riga, † July 27, 1987 in Boca Raton, Florida) was an American gymnast.

Gulack was born in Latvia and inspired at an early age for gymnastics. In 1922 he came to America and devoted himself to his sport here. His best discipline was the rings to which he even won the gold medal at the 1932 Olympic Games. He also claimed in 1928 and 1935, two national titles. Gulack was the sport after his active career of one of the leaders. He was involved in the development of international rules in 1948. He was coach of the Olympic gymnast team at the 1948 Olympic Games and for a period of over 25 years, Judge. It was also Gulack Vice President of the International Gymnastics Federation and from 1934 to 1958 member of the U.S. Olympic Committee.
