Georgi Gelashvili

Georgi Kakojewitsch Gelashvili (Russian Георгий Какоевич Гелашвили; born August 30, 1983 in Chelyabinsk, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian professional ice hockey goaltender, who plays since May 2013 in Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod in the Kontinental Hockey League.

Career

Georgi Gelashvili began his career in 1999 with the second team of HC Traktor Chelyabinsk in the third Russian league. After another station in the lower Russian leagues at Kasachmys Satpajew he returned in 2006 to Chelyabinsk back. On his next club Lokomotiv Yaroslavl Gelashvili was under contract since 2008. In 2010 he moved within the KHL to HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk. When he was Metallurg goalkeeper between 2010 and 2012, but lost this status during the 2012/13 season at Ari Ahonen. Therefore, his contract was not renewed in May 2013 and Gelashvili moved within the KHL to Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod
