Gerard Sweetman

Gerard Sweetman (Irish Gearóid Suatman, born June 10, 1908 in Dublin, † January 28, 1970 ) was an Irish politician and member of the Fine Gael.

From 1943 to 1948, the former lawyer was member of the Seanad Éireann, but staged in February his office to go to the Dáil Éireann. Sweetman remained until his death Teachta Dala. On June 2, 1954 to March 20, 1957, he held the office of the Finance Minister in the coalition government of Taoiseach Costello.
