Gibson Islands

The Gibson Islands are a small group of islands in the mouth of the Chichagof Harbor on the northeast side of Attu Island, the largest of the Near Islands in the Aleutian Islands. The islands were expedition to Lt. in July 1855 in the North Pacific Surveying. William Gibson, USN, commander of the schooner USS Fenimore Cooper named.
