Semichi Islands

The Semichi Islands form an archipelago in the Aleutian Islands on the southern edge of the North Pacific Bering Sea.

Geography

The Alaska (USA) belonging archipelago located southeast of Attu and northeast of Agattu Iceland, with which they form the archipelago of the Near Islands. Among the named islands in the group include from west to east, Alaid Iceland, Iceland Nizki, Hammerhead Iceland, Iceland Lotus and Shemya Iceland.

Wildlife

After the sea otter was wiped out here for over a hundred years, he has returned in the early 1990s to the Semichi Islands. 1994 about 400 animals were counted here in 1997 only 100
