Loaf Island

Loaf Iceland is a small island in the Near Islands, an archipelago in the far west of the Aleutian Islands, Alaska. Loaf Iceland is located in the Massacre Bay on the southeast side of Attu. It is only about 25 meters east of Barbara Point, the Navy Cove separates the north of the Pyramid Cove in the south. It is 680 meters long and up to 315 meters wide, and measures approximately 15 hectares in area. It was named during the occupation of Attu during World War II by the U.S. Army.
