Gionata Mingozzi

Gionata Mingozzi ( born December 29, 1984 in Ravenna, † 15 July 2008 Campagna Lupia ) was an Italian football player at the position of midfielder.

At the age of 23, he died in a car accident in the Italian Campagna Lupia. His last club was the FBC Treviso in the second-rate series B.

Career

Youth and club career

Mingozzi began at youth level his home club Ravenna Calcio. After he went through several youth leagues, he came in 2001 to operations in the first team of residents in the region Emilia -Romagna clubs. Within two years he managed the team with the rise of the sechstklassigen Excellenza in the fourth-rate Serie C2. Prior to joining to Perugia Calcio ( Serie B ) in summer 2004 Mingozzi came in 77 league games to two Torerfolgen.

At the club from the university town of Perugia he came to 14 league operations, before moving to the Italian first division club Sampdoria and on 26 February 2006, the 0-1 defeat against AC Siena at a Substitutes in the 90th minute his debut in the highest was division of the country. After another short stint he was awarded in the summer of 2006 by U.S. Lecce. There he came to Meisterschaftseinsätzne before he returned to Samsdoria Genoa and then Italian second division, the FBC Treviso finally in 2007. There he came to 17 but goalless league appearances until his death.

Death

On the morning of July 15, 2008 he was killed in a car accident when he lost control of his car, a Porsche Cayman and head crashed into an oncoming semi truck. Despite the immediate help of other motorists and the imminent arrival of an ambulance Mingozzi succumbed to his injuries.
