Giro del Friuli
The Giro del Friuli (also Giro del Friuli Venezia Giulia, Friuli- German tour) is an Italian road bicycle race that is held annually in Friuli.
The one-day race was first held in 1974. First winner was the Italian Luciano Borgognoni. Record winner was the Italian Guido Bontempi with three wins. Bontempi it also managed to win the race as the only driver in two consecutive years for themselves.
The race currently belongs in the category of 1.1 to UCI Europe Tour. The sweeps in 1991 and 2000 also served as Italian road championships.
