Glynis Penny

Glynis Penny ( Glynis Carol Penny, born Goodburn; born January 28, 1951) is a former British long-distance runner.

Five times she took starting for England participated in the World Cross Country Championships with the following placements:

The European Athletics Championships 1978 in Prague, she took over 3000 m the 13th Place.

In 1983, she was third at the London Marathon. In 1986, she was eighth in the London Marathon and the Fourth Great North Run. In a marathon, the Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh in 1986 she went to England and came to seventh place. In 1988, she won at Roma - Ostia and the Viennese spring marathon.

In 1977, she was German champion in cross-country running, 1977 and 1979 British champion in the 3000 m.

Glynis Penny started for Cambridge Harriers.
