Goa Gil

Goa Gil, actually Gilbert Levey, ( born October 11, 1951 in San Francisco, California) is an American goa and psytrance DJ, producer and organizer of festivals and open air parties. He is considered the founder of the legendary Full Moon parties on the beaches of Anjuna and Vagator Beach in Goa, India. These were the namesake of today's Goa festivals, and musical style of the same name.

Life

Goa Gil was born in San Francisco, California and grew up in the Haight -Ashbury district. In the 1960s, he grew into the resulting there hippie movement, which influenced him greatly.
