Gökhan Keskin

Gökhan Keskin ( born March 31, 1966 in Istanbul ) is a former Turkish football player and current coach of the second selection of the Turkish national team.

Association

Gökhan Keskin began with the club football in the youth of Dikilitaşspor and moved from here in the youth of Beşiktaş Istanbul. In the summer of 1984, he was awarded a professional contract here and found in the shortest time a place in the root formation. At first he worked in the midfield and moved after the Libero of the team Samet Aybaba his active playing career ended with this position and then played himself up to end of his career.

Through his many years at Beşiktaş Istanbul, he is strongly associated with this club. With Beşiktaş he was five times the Turkish Cup, three times winning the Turkish Football Turkish Cup and Supercup. He was an integral part of the team designated by the Association and fan as legendary for three consecutive won the Turkish Cup in seasons 1989/90, 1990/91 and 1991/92.

For the season 1996/97 Beşiktaş decided to make a radical break with the team and to form a new team with young players. Gökhan Keskin played four times for the Turkish U -21 and six times for the Olympic selection in Turkey.

On November 11, 1987, he made ​​his debut for the Turkish national team in a qualifying match of Euro 1988 against the Northern Ireland national team. Following his playing career, he took on his last club İstanbulspor the co- coaching job and assisted Aykut Kocaman. Since April 2012, Keskin serves as head coach of the second selection of the Turkish national team.
