Aykut Kocaman (2014)

Aykut Kocaman ( born April 5, 1965 in Geyve, Adapazarı, Sakarya ) is a Turkish football coach and was one of the top scorer in the Turkish league.

Playing career

Association

Aykut Kocaman began in 1984 with his career at Sakaryaspor. In his last season for Sakaryaspor he was Turkish Cup winners. For the 1988/89 season, he joined the giants Fenerbahce. Aykut Kocaman scored in 213 games 142 goals for Fenerbahçe. He won the Turkish league with Fenerbahce in the seasons 1988/89 and 1995/ 96 and was three times top scorer in the Süper Lig: 1988/89 with 29 goals, 1991/92 with 25 goals and in 1994/95 with 27 goals. In 1996, the Treaty of Kocaman at Fenerbahçe was disbanded and he joined free transfer to Istanbulspor and played up to end of his career there.

Coaching career

Kocaman began his coaching career after his playing days at Istanbulspor. After four years he left Istanbulspor. This was followed by one-year positions at Malatyaspor, Konyaspor and Ankaraspor. After the 2008/ 09 season left Kocaman Ankaraspor and was sports director at Fenerbahce. After the dismissal of Christoph Daum on 25 June 2010, Kocaman became the new coach of Fenerbahce. After differences with club president Aziz Yildirim Kocaman joined in May 2013 from his office.

Aykut Kocaman is married and has two children.
