Cemil Turan

Cemil Turan ( born 1947 in Istanbul ) is a former Turkish football player and functionary.

Playing career

Clubs

Cemil Turan played since the age of 14 football. His career first began in 1962 at Sariyer, where he already scored 103 goals. In 1968 he moved first to Istanbulspor, four years later to Fenerbahce. There he spent his most successful period: with Fenerbahçe, he won three championships (1974, 1975, 1978) and was in 1974 ( 14 goals ), 1976 and 1978 ( 17 goals each ) scorer of the Turkish league. For Fenerbahçe he scored in 304 games 194 goals, is therefore by Zeki Riza Sporel (470 goals), Lefter Küçükandonyadis (432 goals) and Aykut Kocaman ( 200 goals ), the top scorer of the club's history.

National

For the Turkish national football team, he completed 44 games in which he scored 19 goals. 1980 ended Cemil his football career. Today Cemil Turan has worked as a coordinator at Fenerbahçe.
