1989–90 1.Lig

The 1989/90 season was the 32nd season of the first Lig, the highest division in the Turkish football (now Turkcell Süper Lig ). It started on September 2, 2012 with the play Sariyer SK against the Mediterranean Adana Demirspor.

First and thus Turkish champion Beşiktaş Istanbul. For the club, it was the eighth overall championship title.

Due to a reduction of the league from 18 to 16 teams in 1990 there was a record number of five relegated to the second league.
