The Office Golzow [ gɔltso ː ] is a 1992 formed Office in Brandenburg, in the first twelve communities in the then district Seelow (today district or Mark- Land, Brandenburg ) were combined into an administrative group. The seat is in the municipality of Golzow. Through municipal mergers, the Office currently has five municipalities.

Geographical location

The Office Golzow lies to the east of the county or Mark- land in Brandenburg ( Germany ). It borders in the north on the community Letschin, on the east by the Republic of Poland, on the south by the Office Lebus and to the town of Seelow, in the west.

The Office Golzow currently manages five municipalities:

  • Old Tucheband with Old Tucheband, Hathenow and Rathstock
  • Bleyen - Genschmar with Bleyen and Genschmar
  • Golzow
  • Küstriner foreshore with Gorgast, Kuestrin -Kietz and Manschnow
  • Zechin with bush village, Friedrichsaue and Zechin

History

The Minister of the Interior of Brandenburg issued the formation of the Office Golzow on 30 June 1992 its approval. As the time of conclusion of the Office July 6, 1992 was set. The office was located in the municipality Golzow and consisted of twelve municipalities of the former district of Seelow: Old Tucheband, bush village, Bleyen, Friedrichsaue, Genschmar, Golzow Gorgast, Hathenow, Manschnow, Kuestrin - Kiez, Rathstock and Zechin.

December 31, 1997, the municipalities Gorgast, Manschnow and Kuestrin -Kietz merged to form the new municipality Küstriner foothills. The communities Buschendorf, Friedrichsaue and Zechin also formed at 31 December 1997, the new church Zechin.

With effect from 31 December 2001, the formation of the new office belonging to rural community Alt Tucheband from communities Hathenow, Old Tucheband and Rathstock was approved by the Ministry of the Interior of Brandenburg. Also on 31 December 2001, the municipalities Bleyen and Genschmar merged to form the new municipality Bleyen - Genschmar.

Demographics

The Office Golzow had at the beginning of the foundation still 7214 inhabitants, in December 2012, according to census or 5488 inhabitants. The forecasts to 2030 anticipate a further decline of 20 %, with the population of working age between 2000 and 2030 by nearly half.

The coat of arms was approved on 29 March 1995.
