Gonzalo Eulogio Zárate ( born August 6, 1984 in Rosario, Argentina) is an Argentine football player.

Career

Gonzalo Zárate began in the youth teams from Lanus and CA Tiro Federal. Before he moved to Switzerland, Zárate played in the Primera División B, the second Argentine league. His first club in Switzerland was the SC Kriens, for which he was able to achieve five goals in five games. After only two months, he was awarded to the Grasshopper Club Zurich, who committed him even after the end of the loan. In the 2009/10 season he was top scorer with 14 goals and the team finished with the people of Zurich ranked third in the Axpo Super League. On 18 May 2010 his transfer to the Austrian champions FC Red Bull Salzburg was announced. On August 30, 2012 Zarate joined the Young Boys Bern in Switzerland.
