Goriška Statistical Region

Goriška ( German: Gorizia; official: Goriška statistična regija ) is a statistical region in Slovenia on NUTS3 level.

The region, which is intended for statistical purposes, was introduced in May 2005. It comprises a total of 13 municipalities. The largest city is Nova Gorica with 14,000 inhabitants. In the 2325 km ² large region 119,700 people ( 2012).
