The Goulburn -Oberon Road is a connecting road to the east of the Australian state of New South Wales. The road connects the Hume Highway at Goulburn with O'Connell Road to Oberon. The road is designated as a main road 256 and is seen as part of a future bypass of Sydney.

Course

The road branches off in Goulburn on the Hume Highway ( N31 ​​) to the north. About Taralga it leads to Richlands, where from east to Wombeyan Caves Road opens. Next she moves to the Abercrombie River, which they crossed south of the Abercrombie River National Park. At its south-eastern frontier along the road continues north and finally reached in Oberon O'Connell Road.

Road Conditions

From 2002 to 2008 extensive work has been performed on her. The last unpaved section between Abercrombie River and the end of Wombeyan Caves Road was paved in February 2008.
