Grasøyane Lighthouse

The Grasøyane fyr is a beacon in the West Norwegian Ulstein municipality in Møre og Romsdal Fylke. The lighthouse stands on the highest point of the small island between the islands Grasøy round in the Southeast and Godøy in the northwest. The Grasøyane fyr marks the entrance to the Storfjorden, opens its end in the famous Geirangerfjord.

The complex consists of the old wooden building with a corner tower beacon from 1886, and the new cast-iron tower from the year 1950. The wooden tower was damaged in 1945 during an air raid. The new lighthouse is the last cast iron tower, which was built in Norway. In addition to the lighthouse, the beacon station is also more of a power house, farm buildings and a boat house with dock.

The facility is a listed building, also includes the islands of Grasøyane nature reserve round and are protected.
