Greensboro is a city in Gadsden County in the U.S. state of Florida with 602 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Geography

Greensboro is located approximately 15 kilometers west of Quincy and about 40 km west of Tallahassee.

Demographics

According to the 2010 census, the then 602 inhabitants distributed in 229 households. The population density was 231.5 inh. / Km ². 39.2 % of the population were white and 27.6 % were African American. 29.6% were members of other ethnic groups and 3.7% in different ethnic groups. 49.3 % of the population were Hispanic or Latino.

In 2010, children under the age of 18 and 26.1 % of all households lived in 41.4 % of all households with persons at least 65 years. 71.4 % of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or a parent with offspring ). The average size of a household was 2.97 and the average family size is 3.48 people.

34.2% of the population were younger than 20 years, 25.4% were 20-39 years old, 26.7 % were 40-59 years old and 13.5 % were at least 60 years old. The median age was 33 years. 46.3 % of the population were male and 53.7 % female.

The average annual income was $ 30,081, while 36.4 % of the population lived below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the mother tongue of 63.96 % of the population spoke Spanish and 36.04 %.
