Greenwood (TTC)

Greenwood is an underground subway station in Toronto. It lies on the Bloor- Danforth line of the Toronto Subway, at the corner of Danforth Avenue and Linsmore Crescent ( one block east of Greenwood Avenue). The station has side platforms, is used daily by an average of 9910 passengers (2009 /10).

There is a transfer possibility to a bus route. The opening of the station took place on 26 February 1966 in conjunction with the section Keele - Woodbine. West of Greenwood enables an underground, completely level and free double track railway triangle to access the depot Greenwood Yard, which is also where the main workshop of the Subway. The depot was built in 1963-1965, is about twelve acres in size and has a direct connection to the railway network ( main line of the Canadian National Railway). Around half of the entire fleet of Subway can be parked there.
