Grzepnica

Grzepnica ( German arms Heide ) is a village in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship. It belongs to the rural community Dobra ( Daber ) in the powiat Policki ( Pölitzer circle)

Geographical location

Grzepnica located in the eastern Pomerania, about 4 km north of the village of Dobra ( Daber ), 12 km west of the city Police ( Pölitz ) and 13 km north- west of Szczecin.

History

Arms Heath was formerly a convent and settlers village, the property of St. John Monastery was in Szczecin. The village (now Polish Wołczkowo ) founded in the mid- 18th century on the field mark of the village Völschendorf and enlarged through the purchase. 1865 composed of the owner, which was leased from two arable plants, poor heath and Johannishof called the Gutsforst, the Gutsförsterei and a school. Previously there had been at the site also a glassworks. In the colonists village, which was merged with the husbandry arms Heath, there was about this time three Büdner, a general store and an inn. To 1864 273 inhabitants were counted in arms Heath, who lived in a total of twelve houses. Poor heath formed its own school community.

In the early 1930s had the boundaries of the municipality arms Heath and a surface area of 12.1 km ², and on the municipal land were a total of 20 residential buildings at five different places of residence:

In the year 1925 213 inhabitants were counted in the community heath arms, which were distributed to 49 households.

By 1939 the village had belonged to poor heath Randow county in the district of Stettin Pomerania. It was incorporated on October 15, 1939 in the circle Ueckermuende, in which it remained until 1945.

After the end of World War II arms Heath was placed under Polish administration and renamed Grzepnica.

Religion

The population before 1945 present in poor heath belonged to a large majority of the evangelical creed. Among the 1925 counted 213 inhabitants there were 205 Protestants and Catholics eight.
