Guamá is a municipality in the Cuban province of Santiago de Cuba. It runs west of the provincial capital Santiago elongated along the Caribbean coast to the west of the province of Granma. To the north it borders the Municipalities Tercer Frente and Palma Soriano. Administrative headquarters of the Municipalities is the small town Chivirico. Highest elevations are the Pico Real del Turquino, the Pico Cuba and Pico Suecia.

The main economic activity of the region is the agro-industry. Main products are coffee, timber, citrus, fish and livestock.

The municipality has 35,516 inhabitants Guamá distributed over an area of ​​964.6 km ², representing a population density of 36.8 per square kilometer.

The municipality is named after the Taíno cacique Guamá, who led a rebellion against the Spanish conquistadors in 1530.
