GuÃa de Isora
Guía de Isora is a municipality on the Spanish Canary Island of Tenerife, with 20,537 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013). It lies on the western coast of Tenerife. About the TF 822 and the Autopista del Sur ( Southern Highway ) Guía de Isora is connected to the capital Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Neighboring municipalities are Santiago del Teide in the north, La Orotava in the east and Adeje in the south.
The municipality has an area of 143.82 km ² at an average altitude of 580 m above sea level. The place consists of a total of 17 districts:

From Guia de Isora, you have a spectacular view of the neighboring island of La Gomera. The waterway between Tenerife and La Gomera is home to whales and dolphins living there. Guia de Isora is also the starting point for walks in the Teno Mountains and the Teide.
Agriculture is dominated by banana and tomato cultivation. Since this is very water intensive, farmers are increasingly relying on the cultivation of ornamental plants, as this uses less water and land and thus brings more profit.
