Guru (Hindi: गुरू ) is a successful Bollywood film of the well-known director Mani Ratnam in the year 2007.

Action

Village of Idhar, Gujarat: The young Guru Kant Desai will be businessman and travels in 1951 against the wishes of his father in Turkey. In Istanbul, he earned his first money and get to know the economic business processes. Nevertheless, he waived after years of work on the great career in Turkey and returns to India.

There he married the pretty Sujata to take the dowry of her father economically in Bombay foot. In 1958 he traveled with Sujata and her brother and business partner Jignesh same gurus in the metropolis. Guru desperately tries to build relationships among traders. Only by tricking him succeed in this, and he builds a polyester operation.

From Guru is years later a powerful man and company owners of large polyester factory " Shakti Corporation ". Guru's dream is to become the largest company of India. However, with his corrupt methods he attracts the attention of the publisher Manikdas Gupta on itself, which then the reporter Shyam Saxena incites guru.
