Güven Varol

Güven Varol ( born June 2, 1981 in Sakarya ) is a Turkish footballer who plays for Mersin Idman Yurdu.

Career

Association

Güven Varol began with the club football in the youth of Turkish traditional clubs Sakaryaspor. In 1999 he moved to Istanbul amateur club Anadolu Hisarı İdman Yurdu. There Istanbul's third division Pendikspor noticed him and signed him for the upcoming season. Varol got a professional contract at Pendikspor. After two years with Peindikspor he moved to the city and league rivals Beykozspor. In 2004, Varol for Süper Lig club Denizlispor. Here he was a regular in his first season while he was mostly reserve players in the second season. After end of the contract, he moved within the league to Manisaspor. Even with Manisaspor he played only rarely in the squad the team. After the descent Manisaspors at the end of the 2007/ 08 Varol went with his club in the second-class TFF 1 Lig Here he made with his club as a master of TFF 1 Lig direct resurgence. He then played another season in the Süper Lig for Manisaspor and left the club towards MKE Ankaragucu. For winter break 2011/12 Ankaragucu came in a financially difficult situation and was able to for several months do not pay the players' salaries. Subsequently, many players complained in court and were released. Among the exempt players was also Güven Varol.

During the winter break Güven Varol then moved on a free transfer to Premier League rivals Karabükspor. In one and a half years Varol came to 12 league games. He joined the 2013/14 season to the second division club Mersin Idman Yurdu.

Güven Varol played twice for the second selection of the Turkish national team.
