Haldreka

Haldreka is a village (Estonian küla ) in the rural community Emmaste ( Emmaste vald ). It is the second largest Estonian island of Hiiumaa ( German Dagö ).

Description and History

The village is located on the peninsula Haldreka ( Haldreka pool saar ) in the Baltic Sea.

In 1977 it lost its status as an independent village and then was for twenty years the village Kaderna. In 1997, the village Haldreka was restored as an independent administrative unit.

Haldreka today only 2 inhabitants ( 31 December 2011).
